To fulfill Secretary Johnson’s message of mutual aid, solidarity and collaboration, we’ve included the information below to support you, and we’ll continue to update the list of resources as new information becomes available.

Legal Resources

WIC + Food Support

  • Find a Food Bank (California Association of Food Banks) Available fresh produce and pantry staples in your area.

  • Women Infants and Children (WIC) Division Local Offices and Locations (California Department of Public Health)

    • You do not need to be a U.S. citizen to qualify for WIC.

    • Parents can apply on behalf of their children, even if the parents or children are not U.S. citizens.

    • WIC does not ask for or collect your immigration or citizenship information.

    • WIC participation is not a factor for who qualifies as a “public charge” at this time.

    • Getting WIC services will not affect your immigration status based on current federal rules.

    • Contact a local WIC Office to a schedule a remote appointment to talk about getting services.
