Kelly Garrity, LMFT
LMFT, NERD AND POET, SHE/HER
I specialize in helping adults heal from childhood pain, release old fears, and transform unhelpful relationship patterns. My passion lies in supporting clients as they break free from the past and create a more authentic, purposeful life aligned with who they truly are.
My approach to therapy is holistic and systemic, blending the wisdom of the arts with evidence-based, neuroscience-informed practices. I draw from a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR trauma therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), family play therapy, the Gottman Method for couples, mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, and somatic, creative, and expressive art therapies.
Over the past 25+ years, I’ve worked in a variety of clinical settings with diverse populations — including community mental health, psychiatric day treatment for children, private and group practices, neurofeedback clinics, and substance abuse treatment facilities offering group, family, and individual therapy.
My intention is to help you understand and embrace “the truest you” with clarity, compassion, and care.
As a neurodivergent woman and a parent to two neurodiverse teens, I hold a special interest in supporting individuals navigating ADHD, Autism, learning and processing differences, or simply feeling that their brain works differently in a world not always built for that. I understand the unique challenges this can bring — and the importance of having the right support.
As Ram Dass beautifully said, “We are all just walking each other back home.” I’m here to walk beside you, with empathy and insight, on your path to healing and self-discovery.
