Alma Ibarra, Associate MFT/PCC
SHE/HER/ELLA
I am a bilingual, prelicensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor with a passion for serving the community through a social justice lens that is culturally sensitive, client-centered, and grounded in compassion.
In my clinical work, I have supported individuals across the lifespan—including children, adolescents, transitional-aged youth, adults, and older adults. I have experience working with complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and survivors of domestic violence.
For the past four years, I have worked at a community-based nonprofit supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. I currently serve as Associate Director and remain committed to creating safe, accessible spaces for healing.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and client-centered. I believe in an integrative model of therapy that allows for flexibility and responsiveness to each person’s unique needs. While I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Motivational Interviewing, I incorporate other evidence-based modalities based on the goals and strengths of each client.
I believe every person carries inner strength and wisdom. As a therapist, I aim to walk alongside you—to help you recognize your resilience and support you in moving toward your goals. You are the expert of your experience, and I’m here to offer guidance, hold space, and remind you of your capacity to heal and grow.
